Ukranian Wolves
My friend Naomi Uman sent me this G-O-R-G-E-O-U-S postcard from Ukraine a few days ago because it has a wolf wearing a headscarf and she knew I would adore it and I do! If you have not had the chance to see Naomi's movies, I hope that you will get the chance!

Animation for Steve Martin music video...
Last week I helped out by animating a little bit for this music video my friend Randy Wakerlin was directing for a Steve Martin contest.... You can see it here and if you have time, please vote so they win! I animated the heart shaped thought bubble in the beginning and Wally's run (the handsome star of the video) which appears throughout. It was really fun!

One of my very favorite teenage friends (a former CSSSA Animation student), Sean Solomon, just sent me this new video he made for his band Moses Campbell. I wanted to share it with you! I first saw them play at the CSSSA talent show! They are great.

Idlewood Zine
Wow this is turning into zine review central but I can't help myself.. These amazing zines keep landing in my hands. Last night at 1am my friend Michelle Pezel of the beloved Antisocial Skateboard Shop in Vancouver, BC arrived from there and delivered this FANTASTIC little booklet to my bedside table while I lay there half asleep. It is the first zine she ever made and she collaborated on it with friends Rhianon, Erika, Natalie, and Kassy. It is a rare and magnificent portrait of fancy lady skateboard shredding and motorcycle rolling and even has a brief history of women in skateboarding. It is really a treasure. If you want to try and acquire one of your own write to Michelle at Antisocial

Children - Power Spirit
My friend Jonny Ollsin created the music for my new animation 'Lord I: The Records Keeper.' He is very handy with a guitar. See below for evidence:
Motorcycle Transport & Assistance in Seattle
My friend just started a new Motorcycle towing service in Seattle! Good to keep his number handy on your bike in case you are ever rolling through Seattle and get some bad luck. I used to find it really hard to get ahold of a towing company that would tow bikes, so it's nice knowing Lowside is out there to take good care of you when you are majorly bummed out on the side of the road.

Gocco Lives in 'Spacing Awake'!
Mel Kadel just sent me her new zine 'Spacing Awake' in which I'm honored to be included in a collaborative drawing we made...But this zine is regal! I'm telling you... You can get one of your very own HERE in the Buy section. This beauty is completely homemade from start to finish, signed, in edition of only 100 so don't wait too long to get yours! These beautiful treasures are no small feat. Since Mel usually paints on paper she stains craftfully with coffee herself, she likes to also print her zines on such paper... She spent a few weeks staining 1,200 sheets of typing paper, baking them in the sun , and stuffing them through her angry printer. And it is worth all the trouble! Have a look at these! Check out the Gocco printed 3 color covers! Thanks Mel!
I Finally Got An Assistant
But I don't know... I came in the other day and found her like this (see below). I don't think it's working out. She looked so respectable on her BLOG wearing those glasses and everything.. I just thought she'd take this more seriously...

Get your own "Flowing Well" Zine!
My new favorite zine is Flowing Well. It is made in part by a new friend, Leif Goldberg along with Erin Rosenthal who I hope to meet real soon. It is a seasonal newsletter that will teach you all sorts of tricks, like how to make a soda can stove for hiking, camping, emergency, or general use. You can get a year long subscription (4 issues) for $6. Send well-concealed bills to: LG & ER, 42 Temple St., Providence, RI 02905.
Here's what it looks like! It's wonderous.
