Animation Breakdown Festival!

I am so happy I was invited to make a new film for the Free For All program in the Animation Breakdown Festival at Cinefamily.   My new film 'Lady Secrets' premiered last weekend in this exciting new festival.  Thanks to everybody who came out to see it!

Disjecta Benefit Art Auction

I painted this guy with his romantic sidekicks for the 8th Disjecta Benefit Art Auction It will be included in Disjecta’s Paddle Raise print series. It is a limited edition of prints to be given to those who pledge $100 or more at the auction. The original drawings will be found within four of the editions of high-quality giclée prints as an extra surprise for a lucky Disjecta Paddle Raise Bidder!
The auction takes place this Saturday.

Lord I at Monkey Town 4 in Denver next month

Excited that my film Lord I: The Records Keeper will be included in the next wave of programming at Monkey Town 4 in Denver next month!  Monkey Town is described as an "experimental, immersive food and film experience."  Lord I will be playing every Wednesday & Sunday during the month of May.

Cover Art / T-shirt Graphic for Portland Mercury this week:

Good day!  I drew this foilage draped street glider for the cover of the Portland Mercury this week.
They are also making it into a t-shirt that will be for sale at Upper Playground in downtown Portland.
Looks like there's an article in there about the special event this weekend Linework NW!  I'll be down there at the beautiful Norse Hall selling prints, t-shirts, zines, coloring books, and postcard sets with a bunch of other line wranglers.  Hope to see you there!  http://lineworknw.tumblr.com/

LIFTED Art Benefit Auction this Friday at W+K

I just donated a couple of paintings to this benefit art auction that happens this Friday from 6-9pm at the Wieden + Kennedy Gallery in downtown Portland, OR to help Blake Britton and his family.
Blake Britton is a Portland based sculptor, artist, production designer.

He recently was diagnosed with brain cancer and, in May, is expecting his first child.  His artist friends and peers from New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Portland have rallied around him donating work for the L I F T E D exhibition auction.   A one night only event at the Wieden + Kennedy gallery.

Feast & Famine Art

I illustrated 5 local potato farmer's quotes for a special event last night at the Portland Art Museum in association with a current exhibit called Feast & Famine.  Jason Sturgill designed and printed beautiful placemats for the table and he also printed my illustration.  Here is a photo from last night showing the prints on the table and also the original illustration in its digital form.  Thanks so much to Michelle Swinehart for organizing such a great event!

Time Farmers is a program of short animated films made by independent contemporary animators from across North America. This collection of films has been assembled by Lori Damiano in 2013 to accompany her newly completed 2D hand-drawn film called Lord I : The Records Keeper.  Time Farmers includes a diverse array of narrative & non- narrative films produced through both hand-crafted and digital techniques. This program features recent work from the following: Lori Damiano, Leif Goldberg & Ursa Goldenrose, Lilli Carré, Stefan Gruber, Amy Lockhart, Kirsten Lepore, Jennifer Levonian, Trixy Sweetvittles, Jodie Mack, Jo Dery, Takeshi Murata & Billy Grant.
